BIG BEAR 2003 THE LAST HOORAH

Big Bear was wet, it was cold, it was muddy but it was also a blast!  We had a wonderful time meeting all the great people that are interested in the same hobby that we are.  My wife Chris, our son Jeffrey, our daughter Ashley and I were able to put faces to all the people that we've had e-mail conversations with over the past few years.  Despite the foul weather it was great.  Chuck Lutz,  the family and I had a BBQ on Friday night, in the rain and for some reason it was one of the best BBQs I've ever had.  The amount of MVs there was overwhelming, there just wasn't time to look at all of them.  We drove around that mud hole and saw some old friends and made some new ones.  Lee and Nancy Hoskins were camped just up from us in their 1943 GMC 2 1/2 ton, two very wonderful folks, Klause and his son Norton and  Randy Bauer on the other side of us and they are also very nice people.  We saw Jerry and Donna Mambretti and they have got themselves a very nice AM General HUMVEE (and am I sorry I didn't get a chance to drive it) and a great looking little Mighty Mite (see above).  Seeing Chuck Barnett, Dan Pratt, Bill the good lookin' one Campbell, Chuck Reuter, Bill Rolloff and anyone else I may have missed was really great as well.  All in all it was a great time.  We can't wait for Woodson Bridge!
